Dr. Thomas (Tom) Armstrong is an accomplished former U.S. Government and White House Executive with demonstrated ability to create a visionary enterprise, lead and empower a large high-performing workforce to provide clients with timely and high-quality mission-critical results.
As one of the world’s foremost authorities on the full implications of the climate crisis on global futures, Tom’s experience includes serving as a non-partisan White House Senior Adviser in both the George W Bush and the Obama Administrations, lead administrator for the $2.5 Billion U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Senior Advisor for Climate Change - U.S. Department of the Interior.
In these roles, Tom created and led science-policy strategy development, for the U.S. Government, and reported to White House leadership on the USGCRP. He spearheaded an interagency initiative to develop new Ten-Year Strategic plan and four-year National Climate Assessment that serve as domestic and international Government standards for successful response to deleterious effects of global climate change.
