Kim Yapchai was named Tenneco’s Chief Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Officer in March 2021. She is a member of the company’s executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the company’s ESG management and the way it impacts all elements of Tenneco’s business. She also serves as the Tenneco’s Chief Ethics &
Compliance Officer.
Yapchai originally joined in 2018 as Tenneco’s Vice President, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. Previously, she had served as Whirlpool’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to her time with Whirlpool she spent more than 20 years as a commercial lawyer with Masco Corporation and Ford where she had a substantial track record of dealing successfully with complex legal and compliance issues in global, public
companies.
Yapchai holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Wayne State University. She has been recognized by numerous publications and organizations, including
named as 2018 Top Mind by Compliance Week, 2017 Top Corporate Counsel by dBusiness and named as one of the top 100 “Next generation General Counsel” by Inside Counsel magazine.
